Instead of searching for Easter eggs outside in the grass with cute dresses and Easter suits, we bundled up in all of our snow gear to play outside in the snow! (The Easter egg hunt was indoors.) We must have gotten eight inches of snow over the weekend. Wet, heavy snow, perfect for snowmen and snowball fights. The kids had a blast! Hopefully it will be our last snow of the season and we can get on with spring now. I'm ready for some green grass and flowers!

Best Buds
Most of the time Lily and Leland love to play with each other. They have their moments, of course, but when I take one of the kids someplace and the other stays with daddy, when they see each other again they act like they've been apart for 10 years. It's so cute to see them hug and say how much they missed each other. We are very blessed to have children who get along so well together!

Cool Cat
Leland found his sunglasses when we were sorting out the toy box the other day. Even though you can see the snow on the deck in the background, it sure seemed a little bit like summer inside!
Leland had an appointment with the neurologist last week. The doctor's first impression is that he does not have any neurological or muscular problems, just strictly orthopaedic problems with his joints. So that is very good news! He will have a nerve test in a couple of weeks just to make sure. Leland, the stinker, pretended he couldn't walk when the doctor wanted to observe him, and swayed back and forth with his legs doing the splits. What a little faker. Once we ignored him he started walking all over the room. The doctor was very concerned at first, but laughed when he started walking. The goofball!

Sleeping Flamingo
I signed Lily up for a six-week dance class that just ended. She loved it so much, the minute one class would end she would be counting the days until the next class! The little girls were so cute in their leotards, tights and ballet slippers. This pose is called "sleeping flamingo," and if you look carefully you can see she is trying to close her eyes as if she were sleeping. Somehow she manages to keep her balance and not fall over! Too cute.

Got Paint?
My friend Shelly told me about these paints, and they are great. They're called Dots, they're relatively clean, come in lots of colors, and the kids LOVE to paint with them. They work on their projects while I scrapbook, and it keeps them entertained for long periods of time. Just look at the concentration on their faces! What a great product. Thanks Shelly!

Lily & Stuffed Animals
Changing Lily's sheets has become a tedious process. Her stuffed animals are taking over the bed! Each week when I wash her sheets, I remove all of her animals and place them on the rocking chair. Then I change the sheets, and then dutifully place all of the animals back in place on her bed.
Yesterday, I tried to be a little sneaky. I removed maybe 10 of her animals, animals that I didn’t think she would notice were missing, and put them on her bookshelf. Not any of her favorites, mind you, like Elmo, or Tigger, Barney, Winnie the Pooh or Big Bird. No, only a few of the no-name animals, like the parrot, koala bear, monkey, and snow man. When daddy tucked her in last night, she noticed the missing animals right away. When he tried to convince her to leave some of them on the shelf, she said with a tremble in her voice, "But I love them!" Oh well, I tried.

Sweet Boy
I love this picture of Leland. It just makes me want to squeeze him! We got good news from the doctor last Friday - Leland didn't have to be casted again. We thought for sure we would have to have another one or two casts, but Dr. Ponsetti said he was good to go. He is gaining his strength back quickly, and I am going to use some of the things we learned in physical therapy to help him with his balance. He'll be back in tip-top shape in no time!
