Our girl is four years old! She has been planning her "princess/ballerina" party for months, and was so excited when the big day finally arrived. She and Leland helped me make her birthday cakeand we decorated with streamers and balloons. Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Mark and Auntie Julie, and our friends the Verwers helped us celebrate.
On January 4 we went to Iowa City for a six month checkup on Leland's feet, and the doctor found that his feet had started to turn back in. He had to be put back in casts, and we have been making weekly trips back to Iowa City for new casts. We think next week will be the last cast, but will know more after his feet are x-rayed. I was afraid that it would be really difficult for him after having six months free of casts, but he has really adjusted well. Not much slows him down. He's an amazing little boy.
